ขมนิดๆ (a little bitter.) is the debut album by WAAN-NOI, announced for 2026. The Thai songs form separate small scenes rather than one continuous love story. The running order moves from near to far: from habits that still keep someone close, through acts of helping and staying useful, toward the quieter distance of letting a name, a message or a late-night call show what was never said.

The sound stays in WAAN-NOI's Thai Indie Pop world: unhurried, guitar-forward, soft at the edges and conversational. Clean jangling guitar, warm rhythm guitar, round bass, restrained drums and mellow electric piano keep the surface gentle while the writing carries the ache in ordinary objects.

Small scenes, near to far

หวานน้อย opens in a familiar café. The narrator orders the less-sweet drink the other person used to choose, even though nobody is waiting for it. A routine remains after the relationship has changed.

เดี๋ยว turns one repeated postponement into the whole problem. Every promise to answer later stretches the wait, until the narrator understands that delay can be a refusal that never quite lets go.

แผนที่ watches a shared point disappear from a map. Nobody makes a dramatic exit. The connection simply expires, leaving the narrator with a much larger map and no easy reason to delete it.

ยินดีด้วยนะ begins with a wedding card. The narrator writes congratulations carefully enough to hide a shaking hand, then keeps the card because it is the last place the two names can still sit together.

พี่วิน carries one of the album's gentlest jokes. A familiar ride home still turns toward an old address, and the narrator cannot bring himself to explain that the person connected to that route is gone.

ไม่ต้องคืน places the hurt inside a returned box. One hoodie does not need to come back; letting it stay is a small way to leave warmth behind when the relationship itself cannot remain.

คนถ่ายรูป stays behind the camera. The narrator takes the other person's best pictures, even when asked to frame a life that includes someone else, and slowly disappears from the image altogether.

ฝากซื้อ turns errands into a thin thread of closeness. A long list of things to pick up matters because each request is still a message, even when the one thing hoped for never appears.

เลือกรูป asks the close friend to choose the best picture for a dating app. The narrator chooses honestly, even knowing the image will help the other person meet someone else.

ตามใจ looks back at a habit once mistaken for kindness. Always letting the other person decide slowly becomes evidence that care can fail when it never states a want of its own.

รู้ดีกว่าใคร is built from detailed knowledge: food, preferences, habits, small comforts. The narrator can remember almost everything and still have no special claim on the person being cared for.

ที่ปรึกษา places a confession inside advice that never becomes a confession. A late call asks for help about another relationship, and the narrator stays useful enough to remain only a friend.

แค่โอเค waits on a screen for a long message that never arrives. The signs of writing appear and disappear, then a single short answer lands, leaving the missing words to carry the weight.

ชื่อจริง makes distance visible inside a phone. A private nickname is replaced by a formal name, turning one saved contact into a stranger by changing only a few characters.

กะดึก closes the album at 2 a.m. The narrator answers because the call still comes when the other person is hurt, accepts being the backup, and waits for the next night rather than losing the connection completely.
