The Simulated Empathy is the debut album by EλECTR1X, dated 26 February 2027: twelve songs arranged as a concept album in three acts and meant to be played in order. Dark pop music frames a relationship told as a machine story, moving from infection through malfunction to shutdown.
The album's cyberpunk music world uses systems, code and mechanics as the setting for intimacy, attraction, damage and collapse. Dark alternative R&B vocals sit over distorted French house music and acid techno, while seductive and fierce form the record's central mood pairing. The label's approved shorthand is Twelve files. Three acts. One infection. Five of the twelve songs are singles, spaced across the sequence rather than kept in one block.
Five singles inside one machine story
Malware Romance turns intimacy into infection. A warning is visible from the beginning, but access is granted anyway. The risk is recognised rather than accidental, so seduction arrives first and the damage is allowed through the door by choice. A quiet system cue, call-and-response bridge and shouted command before the instrumental break keep the machine frame inside the song itself.
Friction turns the relationship into mechanically incompatible parts. Contact creates heat, abrasion and wear. An industrial-techno edge sits above the sensual R&B centre, keeping fierce pressure and physical attraction inside the same single. The low end is metallic and grinding, while the vocal hook holds against the harder surface.
Reverse Engineering takes the relationship apart to find the failed component, then finds the narrator's fingerprints inside the damage. The mood is melancholic, seductive and cinematic, with R&B leading the balance and the vocal pushed furthest forward in the singles run. It is also the most introspective of the five singles.
Mechanical Failure captures the instant when every coping mechanism gives out. Failure moves through the structure as a cascade until the system can no longer pretend to function. Fierce and sad meet in an aggressive, cinematic track built for the club. Collapse is rendered as force rather than self-pity.
Absolute Zero is the final single and the album's closing song. Its temperature image carries the story into total emotional shutdown. Cold stillness surrounds the warmer R&B centre until motion itself has stopped at the end of the record. Sad and sensual sit together inside that cold state.
