Absolute Zero
Scheduled 22 January 2027

Absolute Zero is a single dated 22 January 2027, the last single before The Simulated Empathy and the album's closing song. It places songs about heartbreak at the lowest point after the break, where emotional response has fallen away until almost nothing is moving.
The mood is sad and sensual, but the atmosphere is cold, still and cinematic. R&B warmth holds the sound together, keeping the freeze from becoming only a surface effect.
The temperature where motion stops
The title gives the story its governing image. Absolute zero is the point at which motion ends. Emotional shutdown arrives not as an explosion or a final confrontation, but as the state after those reactions are exhausted and the system no longer responds in the same way.
That stillness comes before anything can begin again. The song does not move forward into recovery because its subject is the bottom itself: the interval in which movement has ceased and no new direction has started.
R&B warmth inside the cold
Dark alternative R&B and dark R&B keep the warmer centre against French house music and acid techno. The track does not need forward drive to create pressure; the contrast between warmth and cold carries the tension instead.
As the album closer, Absolute Zero places the machine-story at shutdown. The relationship is not resolved through an answer. It ends in a state: the system has stopped, and the space beyond that stopping point remains open. As track 12, no later song inside the album carries the story beyond that state.
